Literature Text

I feel so alone at this reddish evening
When I'm walking towards my home
and see along my way kisses and hugs,
Some couples that are going to their home.

Cold weather was stayed outside
When I'm opening the door to my room.
But cold is still freezes me inside -
It's like I'm a ghost who has doom.

Sometimes I'm standing here and feel
Like I'm living in the plundered nest,
In the box with empty walls, without things
That adds to your house some zest.

With those things the house becomes home,
They were given to you by family and friend.
It is all what I need this evening,
All for what everyone fights till the end.
If you don't want to have a home and family, then why are you living ? For what? For whom?

specific question:
- Does the word "zest" in third stanza fits well (in meaning and rhyme way) or there's a better word?

"It's like I'm a ghost who has doom" <-- Lines like this make me feel that you're really sacrificing meaning for rhyme. It doesn't really make sense.
